The 2026 Frozen Four opens with a matchup of familiar foes as North Dakota and Wisconsin meet for the 174th time.
The former conference rivals, who have 14 NCAA titles between them arrived in Las Vegas via very different routes. The Fighting Hawks (29-9-1) entered the NCAA tournament as the No. 2 overall seed and dominated Merrimack and Quinnipiac in the regionals, shutting out both in comfortable victories.
The Badgers (23-12-2) cruised past Dartmouth in their NCAA opener, then pulled off perhaps the stunner of the tourney by scoring twice in the final five minutes of regulation against No. 3 seed Michigan State to force overtime, then scoring 24 seconds into OT for a 4-3 win.
Successful as both programs have been, it's been 10 years since North Dakota's last national title and 20 years since Wisconsin last hoisted the trophy.
Who will get a chance to end that drought this weekend? Here's everything you need to know to tune in and watch all the action.
