History is on the line this Sunday in Indianapolis as Emory and Mary Washington meet in the NCAA Division III men’s basketball national championship.

For the first time in either program's history, the Eagles — one from Atlanta and one from Fredericksburg — will play for the ultimate prize at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

Led by senior Ben Pearce — the program’s all-time leading scorer and the 2026 Jostens Trophy winner — Emory punched its ticket with a 72–58 win over Christopher Newport in the semifinals. Mary Washington pulled off a massive upset in the semifinals, taking down the defending national champion, No. 1 Trinity (Conn.), with a 64–61 victory. Under 2026 National Coach of the Year Marcus Kahn, the team has set a school record with 29 wins this season.

This championship is also a "revenge game" of sorts — Emory was the team that knocked Mary Washington out of the NCAA tournament last season. Now, the two teams meet with a piece of history on the line.

Here's everything you need to know for the championship game, from the start time to streaming information.

Golden Knights beat Oilers 5-1 to tighten Pacific Division race

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — Carter Hart made 31 saves and the Vegas Golden Knights tightened the Pacific Division race, beating the Edmonton Oilers 5-1 on Saturday night to remain perfect in John Tortorella's first three games as coach.

Vegas moved a point back of Edmonton and Anaheim for the division lead, snapping the Oilers' season-best, five-game winning streak.

Brett Howden and Jeremy Lauzon each had a goal and an assist, Colton Sissons, Mark Stone and Rasmus Andersson also scored and Jack Eichel had three assists.

Evan Bouchard scored for Edmonton, and Connor Ingram made 28 saves.

Hart was activated off injured reserve and backstopped Vegas to a 6-3 home victory over Calgary on Thursday night. He had been out since injuring his left leg Jan. 8 against Columbus.

Tortorella, who replaced the fired Bruce Cassidy, coached Hart in Philadelphia from 2022-24.

Kansas City Royals' Salvador Perez Receives Admission From Teammate

The Kansas City Royals had a double-header on Saturday against the Milwaukee Brewers. They lost the first game 5-2, but earned an 8-2 win in the second contest. Veteran catcher Salvador Perez crushed a big home run in the Game 2 win. After the contest, Perez's teammate, Isaac Collins, made an admission about the Royals leader, via Anne Rogers of MLB.com.

"He’s the leader of this team. We follow him," Collins said of Perez. "For him to break the ice a little bit, take the lead, and then we kind of just poured it on after that."

The Royals now hold a 4-4 overall record. They are in second place in the American League Central division. It has been an up and down start to the new campaign, but this Kansas City ball club has the potential to become a true contender.

Perez has had a difficult start to the season. Saturday's home run was a reminder that he is more than capable of coming through at any given moment. He is the leader of the team as well, and he clearly has the respect of his teammates.

Salvador Perez's Undeniable Leadership

Perez, 35, made his MLB debut in 2011 with the Royals and has played with Kansas City ever since. Many stars over the years who have started their careers with small-market teams have often ended up signing with big-market ball clubs down the road. Perez surely could have ended up elsewhere if he wanted, but he has continued to play with the Royals.

He is a fan-favorite. He also seems to be quite respected by his teammates. Perez's performance has been consistent as well.

He is a power-hitting catcher who gives everything he has every single season. In 2025, Perez hit 30 home runs and recorded 100 RBI. There are not many catchers who can provide that kind of offensive production.

He is also a player who steps up in the big moments. If the Royals need a big hit, Perez can come through. If they need a clutch defensive play, Perez is ready for the moment behind the plate.

The Royals' young core of players led by Bobby Witt Jr. understandably receives plenty of attention. However, Salvador Perez's leadership is extremely valuable as well. He will continue to play a crucial role in the Royals' success throughout the 2026 MLB season.

The Royals and Brewers will play once again in Kansas City on Sunday afternoon at 2:10 PM EST.

Carter Hart Stymies Oilers In 5-1 Win, Golden Knights Make It Three Straight Under Tortorella

LAS VEGAS -- Three up, three down.

The Golden Knights improved to 3-0 under new coach John Tortorella after an impressive 5-1 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

Brett Howden and Jeremy Lauzon each had a goal and an assist for the Knights, while Colton Sissons, Mark Stone and Rasmus Andersson also scored for Vegas. Jack Eichel finished with three assists and Ivan Barbashev added two helpers.

Goalie Carter Hart was spectacular in stopping 31 of the 32 shots he faced to pick up his second straight win in as many starts.

The Knights opened a 3-0 lead by the middle of the second period, on goals from Howden, Sissons and Lauzon, before Evan Bouchard scored with 34 seconds left in the stanza.

Stone and Andersson iced the game with third-period goals.

With the win, Vegas moved within one point of the Anaheim Ducks and Edmonton Oilers, who both have 87 points atop the Pacific Division.

KEY MOMENT

Howden's goal was the key moment for this one, as the Golden Knights did something they rarely do, and that's take the early lead. Howden was streaking down the left side when he was able to get his stick on a rebound after Jack Eichel entered the zone down the right wall and fired a shot that was saved. Vegas came into the game with a -20 goal differential in the first period, having been outscored, 79-59.

KEY STAT

50% ... The Golden Knights were 1 of 2 on the power play, as they scored with a man advantage for the sixth time in eight games. Vegas ranks tied for sixth in the NHL with the power-play conversion rate (54 for 221, 24.4%). Andersson's power play goal in the third period was his 16th score of the season.

WHAT A KNIGHT

Starting for the second straight game for Vegas, Hart was the star of the night, being able to go into Edmonton and shut down one of the most potent offenses in the NHL. Hart's 31 saves were his third-most of the season. Hart improved to 5-5-0 in 10 starts against the Oilers, who had scored three or more goals in each of their five victories during their win streak.

Idah back with point to prove after injury torment

Swansea City striker Adam Idah

Adam Idah says he is intent on igniting his Swansea City career after overcoming his injury struggles and taking time to settle at his new club.

The striker joined the Championship side from Celtic last summer for an initial fee of £6m - making him the most expensive signing ever made by the club when not in the Premier League.

But foot and hamstring injuries have restricted the 25-year-old to just five Championship starts in his debut season at the Swansea.com Stadium.

"Not many people know, I fractured my foot when I just signed, so that was tough," the forward told BBC Sport Wales.

"And then obviously with the hamstring, it's not been the easiest of journeys so far here, but I'm enjoying it now and it's great to be back."

The Republic of Ireland forward added: "It was tough, I've been through it before, and to be fair, at first I thought it was going to be a lot worse than what it was. The staff were amazing with me.

"They kept me sane throughout the whole process. I dug deep, I worked really hard and everyone helped me, so it's a nice feeling to be back."

In addition to having two separate injuries, Idah initially struggled to find a new home in Swansea after moving to south Wales in the final stages of the 2025 summer transfer window.

"It was a tough period. It wasn't easy when I first came. I couldn't get a house for months and I think they are the things that people don't understand," he said.

"There's a lot of things going on behind the scenes with footballers and I struggled with that, not being able to live somewhere, living in a hotel and moving from Airbnb to Airbnb.

"It was a difficult period and with the injuries it's not nice.

"But to be fair this club is like a family club, everyone helped me through it and thankfully I'm back now."

Idah did not feature in 17 successive league matches after sustaining a hamstring injury over the Christmas period.

But on the back of twice representing Republic of Ireland during the March international break, the frontman starred on his return to club action.

Idah scored just five minutes after being summoned from the bench in addition to registering an assist for Eom Ji-Sung as Swansea came from 3-1 down to earn a 3-3 draw against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

"It was a nice way to come back for my first game in a long time. It's a credit to everyone that helped me come back," he added.

"It was frustrating being out for quite a while, and the international games last week, it was nice to get some minutes there.

"Obviously they were not great with the results but to come back and play for Swansea and be back with the boys again was brilliant, and then to top it off with a goal and an assist was nice."

Idah's strike against the Blades was his fourth goal in a stop-start debut campaign at Swansea.

Following their draw with Chris Wilder's outfit, Vitor Matos' side sit 16th in the second tier table - 11 points adrift of the play-off places and 13 points clear of the relegation zone with six matches remaining.

Despite seemingly being destined for a mid-table finish, Idah hopes - on both a personal and collective level - to finish the season strongly as Swansea look to build ahead of what will be Matos' first full season at the helm in 2026-27.

"I know what I'm capable of and the fans probably haven't seen that yet, which is probably the most frustrating thing for me," he explained.

"I came here as a big signing and I've not produced what I wanted to yet, and I don't want to give excuses with injuries because I've been there before.

"We've got six games left. Hopefully I can show what I can do and come into next season with a fresh start.

"I know some people say there's not a lot to play for this season but for us it's everything. We want to finish on a high and start next season with some confidence coming into it."

'Unbelievable' Zan's the man

In Idah's absence, Zan Vipotnik has shone for Swansea this term.

The Slovenia international - the Championship's top scorer this season - notched his 18th league goal of the campaign from the penalty spot in the draw with Sheffield United.

And Idah says the 24-year-old has been a joy to train and play with.

"He's been fantastic. He's a great guy. He's unbelievable to play with and to have as a team-mate," Idah said of Vipotnik.

"A lot of people will probably think two players in the same position don't like each other but he's unbelievable and he deserves all the credit he gets.

"He works unbelievably hard in training and in the games. The goals he scores are brilliant. So I'm so happy for him and for him to be part of us. Hopefully we'll see a bit more from him next year."
