USMNT winger Tim Weah captained Olympique de Marseille to a 4-0 Ligue 1 season-opening victory over Strasbourg, playing the full 90 minutes at right back.

The 23-year-old American was recently appointed captain by new manager Bruno Génésio, replacing his former role as a key player under previous boss Habib Beye. Weah completed his permanent transfer to Marseille in June after joining the club on loan last season.
