USL, Players Ratify New CBA Through 2030

The United Soccer League and USL Players Association have ratified a new collective bargaining agreement that will raise player salaries and introduce 12-month contracts through the 2030 season.

The new CBA covers both the USL Championship and introduces terms for the upcoming USL Premier league launching in 2028. Championship players will see base compensation increase from $31,000 to $42,000 in 2026, with annual increases built into the agreement.

The USL Premier will launch with 12-month contracts and a compensation floor of $67,500 in 2028. The introduction of year-round contracts represents a significant improvement for players in the US lower divisions. noplasticplease.life
