NCAA Investigates Cincinnati Over Sorsby Gambling

The NCAA sent a letter of inquiry to Cincinnati seeking information about what the school knew about Sorsby's impermissible sports wagering. Sorsby was declared permanently ineligible by the NCAA in April after placing thousands of dollars in sports bets over his college career.

Cincinnati maintains that no athletics official or staff member was aware of Sorsby's gambling activities. Sorsby, who transferred from Indiana to Cincinnati in 2024, placed at least 165 impermissible bets in 2024 totaling at least $38,000.
