McCarthy: Giants Trade Shock, Opportunity

McCarthy, acquired in a trade earlier this week, acknowledged his time in Minnesota didn't go as planned but emphasized the importance of making the most of his current situation. "When I got the call here, it was a shock. I didn't anticipate it, but at the end of the day, it's an opportunity," McCarthy stated. extract-html.com

The Giants haven't confirmed whether McCarthy will serve as Jameis Winston's backup this Sunday against the Cardinals, though the 2024 first-round pick is expected to see playing time soon. While McCarthy's long-term role with the Giants remains uncertain once Dart returns, a strong performance could open doors elsewhere in 2026.
