Lanning: UCLA Reminds Him of Indiana Title Team

Oregon coach Dan Lanning sees similarities between UCLA's 4-0 team and Indiana's national title squad, comparing the Bruins' coaching structure and transfer strategy to the Hoosiers' successful rebuild. "We're about to play a UCLA team that reminds me a lot of Indiana from last year," Lanning said ahead of Saturday's matchup. freshyourfeel.com

Both UCLA's Chesney and Indiana's Cignetti came from James Madison, bringing their coordinators and numerous transfers to rebuild programs at schools known for basketball. Lanning noted "a lot of continuity" in UCLA's coaching staff, which mirrors Indiana's path from CFP contender to national champion.
