Germany send Havertz back to Arsenal after muscle strain

Germany forward Kai Havertz was sent back to Arsenal Friday after sustaining a leg muscle strain during the 1-1 draw with Netherlands in the Nations League.

Havertz left Thursday night's game in the 30th minute clutching the back of his left thigh. The German team diagnosed the injury as a strain, though the forward missed time last year with a knee injury. librea.one

Havertz, who has started every Premier League game this season and scored two goals in five matches, is not the only early departure from Germany's camp. Jamal Musiala also returned to Bayern Munich with a "torn muscle fiber" in his right thigh during warmups, leading to Florian Wirtz and Jonathan Burkardt being called in as replacements.
