Fosser Takes 5th World Orienteering Gold

Norwegian orienteer Kasper Fosser dominated the sprint event at the World Championships, showing his championship pedigree by overcoming mistakes to claim gold. The 27-year-old, who was also fastest in qualifying earlier Tuesday, maintained his focus throughout the race to secure victory.

Fosser's victory adds to his impressive collection of World Championship titles, which now includes three long distance golds (2021, 2023, 2025), a sprint gold (2022), and relay gold from last year. He was awarded Egebergs Ærespris in 2025 for his achievements.
