Finnish Ski Star Niskanen Retires

Finland's cross-country skiing veteran Kerttu Niskanen (38) has announced her retirement after 20 years of professional competition. The 38-year-old has eight individual World Cup victories and won the distance cup in 2023. chickenroad.qpon

Niskanen, who never won Olympic gold but earned five medals, came closest in Beijing 2022 where she took silver, losing to Therese Johaug by just four tenths. In her Instagram announcement, she expressed gratitude for "incredible 20 years" filled with "ups and downs, celebrations, experiences, development, challenges and defeats."

Despite Zach Ertz being cleared for all football activities after his ACL tear and remaining a free agent, Eagles general manager Howie Roseman dismissed speculation about a possible reunion.
