“Absolutely crazy” – Wayne Rooney delivers scathing home truths on Chelsea owners

Former England striker Wayne Rooney has delivered some harsh home truths on the owners of Chelsea right now.

To be honest, it’s not just Rooney out there saying this, literally every single Chelsea fan is saying the same thing and every person involved in football is as well. It’s literally the most obvious thing in football right now that we can all see – if only the Chelsea owners see it too. Because they need to do more than ‘tweak the model’ right now, they need to gut it out and change it completely. akupunkturabielsko.pl

Rooney has been speaking this week after watching Chelsea lose 3-1 at home to Nottingham Forest, and the former Premier League star cannot believe how this club is operating right now.

In words quoted on X yesterday, Rooney said:

“The money they [Chelsea] spend and how they try and operate is absolutely crazy.

“For a player, you don’t want to be tying yourself in for that long at that club. It’s madness.”

In other news today..

Chelsea’s transfer of Joao Pedro worked out, and the club will surely try to repeat the trick this summer in the market. He’s been a rare example of buying proven quality for the here and now.

Chelsea have ruled out an attempt to bring Xavi Hernandez in as their new manager according to Ben Jacobs’ reporting today. What’s odd is that it was Jacobs who reported Chelsea made contact with Xavi just moments before he said this!?

Gonzaga Bulldogs great and two-time West Coast Conference Player of the Year, 6-0 forward Yvonne Ejim, has a chance to make her home country’s WNBA team Toronto Tempo’s inaugural roster.

The Calgary, Alberta, Canada, native last played with IDK Euskotren in San Sebastian, Spain, averaging 9.8 points on a shooting split of 50.3 percent on two-pointers/37.8 percent on three-pointers/75.0 percent from the free throw line and 5.9 rebounds over 27 games across the Liga Femenina Endesa.

Bayern Munich vs PSG – Match preview and team news

Bayern Munich welcomes PSG in a high-stakes UEFA Champions League clash on Wednesday night at the Allianz Arena.

After a thrilling and highest-scoring match ever in a UCL semi-final last week, Vincent Kompany’s men will look to turn around their one-goal disadvantage in their favour and progress to the final in front of the home crowd.

Bayern Munich vs PSG – Match preview and team news

  • Date: Wednesday, 6th May.
  • Kick-off: 8pm BST.
  • Venue: Allianz Arena, Munich.

Bayern Munich team news

Bayern Munich enters the second leg with a largely stable squad as Serge Gnabry (thigh) is the only player ruled out for this encounter.

On a positive note, the Bavarians are bolstered by the return of teenager Lennart Karl and midfielder Tom Bischof, both of whom are back in the matchday squad.

Raphael Guerreiro is also back in the squad. Kompany is expected to stick to his attacking 4-2-3-1 setup.

After resting multiple players in the match against Heidenheim, Bayern are set to start with their strong core team spearheaded by Harry Kane, with the creative trio of Musiala, Olise, and Diaz tasked with overturning the one-goal deficit.

The defensive partnership of Upamecano and Tah will be under immense pressure to tighten up after conceding five in the opening leg.

PSG team news

PSG arrives in Munich with a significant tactical headache following a major injury to a defensive pillar.

Star right-back Achraf Hakimi is officially out for several weeks due to a hamstring strain suffered in the first leg, forcing Luis Enrique to rethink his backline.

Warren Zaire-Emery is the likely candidate to drop into the right-back role, a move that opens up a spot for Fabián Ruiz to start in a midfield trio alongside Vitinha and Neves.

The Parisians are also without keeper Lucas Chevalier and Quentin Ndjantou. Despite the defensive reshuffle, PSG’s frontline remains frighteningly intact.

The duo of Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is set to be included in the starting XI after being rested over the weekend.

They, along with Desire Doue, will look to exploit Bayern’s high line on the counter-attack to protect their narrow one-goal lead and secure a place in the Champions League final.

Form

Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich is in prolific scoring form, having already secured its 35th Bundesliga title after finding the net 116 times in 32 games. However, their defensive vulnerability is a growing concern; they have conceded 16 goals in their last six matches, including a wild 3-3 draw against Heidenheim over the weekend where they rotated heavily. Despite the 5-4 first-leg loss in Paris, they remain confident at home, where they have scored 3+ goals in eight of their last nine games.

PSG

PSG arrives as the reigning Champions League holders and currently leads Ligue 1 by six points with three games remaining. Their recent form has been mixed; while they secured a thrilling 5-4 victory in the first leg, they followed it up with a 2-2 draw against Lorient after resting most of their starting XI. Offensively, they are a juggernaut, having attempted more shots (282) than any other side in the competition this season, though their away record in Munich is historically poor.

Predicted lineups

Bayern Munich: Neuer; Stanisic, Upamecano, Tah, Davies; Kimmich, Pavlovic; Olise, Musiala, Diaz; Kane

PSG: Safonov; Zaire-Emery, Marquinhos, Pacho, Mendes; Ruiz, Vitinha, Neves; Doue, Dembele, Kvaratskhelia

How to watch Bayern Munich vs PSG?
