Mostafa Mohamed Nears €750,000 Konyaspor Move

Konyaspor and Nantes have agreed a €750,000 transfer for Mostafa Mohamed, who is due in Turkey for a medical and final approval.

Konyaspor would pay Nantes the transfer fee in three instalments. The Turkish club has also reached an agreement with the Egypt striker, according to Turkish outlet HT Spor. Shortly after, Haber7 reported that Mohamed had agreed a three-year contract with Konyaspor.

The €750,000 figure differs from an earlier estimate in France, in which L’Équipe reported that Nantes expected to receive about €1 million.

As KingFut previously reported, Konyaspor board member Ali Camgöz made Mohamed’s transfer dependent on Kramer leaving. The Slovenian striker has since reportedly agreed to join Antalyaspor. His departure would create another foreign-player place in Konyaspor’s squad.

As a result, Kramer’s expected exit seems to have cleared the main obstacle to the Egyptian striker’s arrival.

Mostafa Mohamed has one year remaining on his Nantes contract. He has trained with the reserves since returning to France in July after an extended pre-season absence.

Nantes fined the 28-year-old after he failed to report for training on June 24. He returned nearly a month later but remained outside the senior squad.

Mohamed scored four goals in 24 Ligue 1 appearances last season as Nantes suffered relegation. He does not want to play in Ligue 2, while his contract includes a salary cut following the drop.

The former Zamalek player joined Nantes on loan from Galatasaray in 2022. Nantes paid about €6 million to make the transfer permanent one year later. Mohamed has since recorded 29 goals and eight assists in 136 appearances for Nantes.

During a previous spell in the Süper Lig, he scored 17 goals in 58 matches during his spell with Galatasaray.
